Red flags
- No written warranty. If it is not on paper, you cannot count on it.
- Only a 1 year labor warranty. After that, every service call comes out of your pocket.
- Lights stuck on with tape. Colorado sun, wind and cold are hard on adhesive.
- Wires showing on your gutters or walls. It looks messy and is easier to damage.
- Pressure to sign today. A good company gives you time to decide.
- No local way to get help. Only a national phone line or an email address.
- A price that seems too good. Ask what is left out, like the control box, app or labor warranty.
Also ask for
- Proof of insurance
- A written quote with the total feet, price and what is included
- How long the install takes and when they can start
- A demo of the app, so you know how easy it is to change colors and set schedules
